Dublin: Ireland Yogic Vegan Travellers Community Group

In the emerald heart of Ireland, Dublin rises not merely as a capital of commerce but as a sanctuary for the vegan yogi traveller, where every cobblestone whispers invitations to non-violence, communion, and inner awakening. The Sudesh Foundation, through its Ireland Yogic Vegan Travellers Community, envisions Dublin as a living ashram of the streets, a place where the sacred act of nourishment aligns with the eternal duty of non-harming. This initiative, born from a deep spiritual yearning to unite wanderers in consciousness, calls upon every soul who walks the path of plant-based purity to experience Dublin not as a tourist, but as a pilgrim of compassion.

Dublin's vegan landscape unfolds like a sacred diagram of mercy. From the gentle hum of Garden of Vegan in Ranelagh, where meals are offered as blessed food to the body and spirit, to the bustling Cornmarket, where vegan stalls serve as altars of sustenance, the city breathes with the rhythm of non-violence. The Liffey River, flowing with ancient grace, mirrors the inner river of life force that courses through every seeker who chooses kindness over cruelty. Here, in temples of taste like Cornucopia and Vanilla, the food is not mere sustenance but a sacrament, an offering to the divine within all beings.

The Sudesh Foundation's mission resonates deeply with this urban spirituality. SF seeks to create a global spiritual community of vegan travellers, bound not by geography but by the shared vow of non-harming. In Dublin, this vision takes flesh and blood, plant-based flesh, that is, as the community gathers in meditation circles, vegan feasts, and yogic workshops that transform ordinary travel into a pilgrimage to holy crossings. The foundation's Ireland chapter invites all who feel the call to join this sacred movement, where every meal is a sacred sound, every step a symbolic gesture, and every encounter a chance to practice compassionate action.

For those who feel the pull of this spiritual journey, the Sudesh Foundation offers a gateway through its global membership. By visiting 📍ie.sudesh.org, seekers can access a network of vegan hosts, yogic guides, and kindred spirits across Ireland and beyond. Membership advantages include curated vegan itineraries, access to exclusive meditation retreats in the Irish countryside, discounts at partner vegan establishments, and a living directory of SF-approved accommodations that honor the principles of non-violence and sustainability. This is not merely a travel community but a spiritual fellowship, where the act of journeying becomes a disciplined practice of inner transformation.

Dublin's spiritual geography is rich with sites that resonate with the vegan yogi. The Book of Kells at Trinity College, with its illuminated scriptures, reminds us of the sacredness of all life. St. Patrick's Cathedral, though steeped in Christian tradition, echoes the universal call to compassion that SF upholds. Even the Temple Bar, often associated with revelry, can be reimagined as a space for spiritual gathering, where vegan travellers gather to share stories of awakening over plant-based teas and raw desserts.

The Ireland Yogic Vegan Travellers Community, under SF's guidance, organizes regular gatherings in Dublin that blend yoga, meditation, and vegan gastronomy. These events are not mere social occasions but spiritual laboratories, where participants explore the intersections of diet, consciousness, and travel. Through guided walks along the Grand Canal, silent meditations in Phoenix Park, and communal meals prepared with intention, members cultivate a deeper connection to the land, to each other, and to the divine presence that permeates all existence.

In this city of poets and rebels, the vegan traveller finds a kindred spirit. Dublin's literary heritage, from Joyce to Behan, speaks of exile, longing, and the search for meaning, themes that resonate with the spiritual nomad. The Sudesh Foundation's community adds a new chapter to this story, one where the exile is from violence, the longing is for peace, and the meaning is found in the simple, radical act of choosing plants over pain.

As the sun sets over the Ha'penny Bridge, casting golden light on the Liffey, the vegan yogi in Dublin knows that this is no ordinary city. It is a threshold, a liminal space where the material and the mystical converge. Through the Sudesh Foundation's Ireland Yogic Vegan Travellers Community, every visitor is invited to cross this threshold, to walk the streets with mindful feet, to eat with grateful hearts, and to leave behind a trail of compassion that lingers long after departure.

The call is clear. The path is open. Dublin awaits not as a destination but as a sacred viewing of the divine in the everyday. Join the Sudesh Foundation's global spiritual community, explore the vegan sanctuaries of this emerald city, and let your journey become a prayer in motion.

Topshop launched vegan shoes

Topshop, which has around 500 stores worldwide, has launched its first 100% vegan shoe collection in stores and online as consumers increasingly seek out ways in which to remove animal products from their wardrobes..

To ensure the shoes are completely vegan, Topshop has created the shoes using non-animal and non-fish glue and they will also be packaged in boxes made using all-vegan materials.

The company has hinted that this range it just the first foray into the world of vegan fashion, with Topshop’s fashion director, Maddy Evans commenting: “We are really excited to be launching our first vegan collection this April. Initially, we’re focusing on footwear and introducing six new styles that are produced alongside our premium shoe lines in Spain.

“We can’t wait to see how shoppers respond to the design-led collection and how far we can push vegan products across our accessories offering.”

Topshop joins other high-street retailers such as Marks & Spencer in launching affordable vegan shoe collections. Earlier this year, Marks & Spencer launched its first ever vegan shoe range featuring over 350 affordable designs after the recent success of the launch of its new dedicated vegan food range.

European Union bid to ban names like ‘burger’ and ‘sausage’ for vegan and vegetarian food products is being challenged

This is ‘unreasonable and costly’ proposal threatened to cause ‘widespread administrative chaos, confusion and time wasting’. If the bid is voted into effect next month, vegan and veggie burgers could be named ‘discs’ and sausages ‘tubes’.

The Vegan Society said the measures would not only affect vegans but also prove costly for public authorities that currently serve vegan food, such as government departments, health providers, education establishments, police forces and prisons.

The proposed amendment banning the use of the words burger, sausage or steak for products that do not contain meat was passed by the European Parliament’s agricultural committee earlier this month as part of a revision of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy.

But the Vegan Society says it contravenes EU consumers’ rights to be informed adequately as to how goods can be used and denies the vegan community the benefits offered by EU law on clear labelling. It claims that alternative vocabulary put forward such as ‘vegetable disc’ does not constitute clear food labelling under EU consumer law because such terms are not easily interpreted. It has legally challenged the plans in a formal letter to EU officials, signed by its chief executive George Gill, on the grounds of breaching fundamental human rights of vegans. Mr Gill said: ‘As consumers are increasingly moving away from eating animals, the demand for vegan products is growing. There’s no denying that meat, dairy and egg industries are feeling threatened by this and desperately trying to restrict the marketing of vegan products.

‘These proposals have little to do with consumer protection and instead are motivated by economic concerns of the meat industry. We are calling on EU officials to reject these irrational measures for vegan meat alternatives to be banned from using the qualified conventional terms everyone has been using for decades.’ Dr Jeanette Rowley, from The Vegan Society, said: ‘This proposed measure is not aligned with EU policy on respect for diversity. It is not in the public interest and, if implemented, would have a disproportional impact across society by affecting the normal daily functioning of all public and private entities that provide food.
